Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know why it seems I have been AWOL lately! I really haven't! I think about all of you all the time, but remember when we had the really bad winds here? Well our power went out just as I was trying to send and e-mail, to all of you actually, and it crashed my e-mail program and I lost ALL of my e-mail address, all 307 of them! That means I lost all 149 of my 19th Ward addresses too! WHAAA! Yes! I really did Cry! Anyway, what I need for you guys to do is to send me an e-mail (Same address it always has been) so that I can put you back in my address book! And if you have any family members of friends that would like to be on or stay on that list PLEASE let me know! I don't think everyone who is on my list actually looks at the blog, so please help me to get this word out! Thank you! I hope you are all having a Wonderful, Warm Christmas Season! OH and if you have a December birthday or know of someone who does, lease let me know! I am also running out of pictures to post, so AFTER Christmas if you have a few days off, that would be a good time to go through YOUR old pictures and send me some to share! Ü Oh and speaking of sharing, since I did this message as a post why not leave a comment about one of your favorite Christmas memories! Any Christmas memories about the 19th ward would be fun too! Food Storage Help!
Lately I have been feeling a real urgency to beef (no pun intended Ü) up my food storage, and have found that there are a lot of good helps out there if ya look for them! I thought it would be great to dedicate some space here for us to share food storage tips, or when we come across some really good deals, or ANYTHING that has to do with food storage! I know a lot of you out there are really into this, so please share your knowledge with all of us! Ü One thing that I never really thought about when it comes to food storage is having seeds so that you can grow your own food! I found this really cool place that not only has really good organic and NOT genetically modified seeds, but it also teaches you how to harvest the seeds after the season so that you will never run out! Plus some of these seed have been harvested from generations that are hundreds of years old, back when the food actually had some nutrition in it! If you do not know about Genetically modified foods Trust me you will want to learn about it, it is NOT something you want your family to be eating! Man has NEVER been able to recreate what God intended for us to eat, so I feel like it is really important to make sure you are not eating any kinds of food that has been genetically modified! I also found another company called Tomorrow's Harvest, that has an interesting concept for Food Storage, that I think is perfect for todays world! Instead of buying 50 pounds of wheat and then wondering what to do with it, this company actually sells complete MEALS and I have to say they are pretty darn tasty! And sooo easy to fix, you just add hot water! Plus you can store a whole years supply under a king size bed! I think it is wonderful for single people especially, or for families with little kids who are picky eaters, or for those who do not have a lot of storage place! When I think of Christmas past, I always remember our kids getting up in the wee hours of the night to see if Santa had been there and to see if they beat the Brox's up. Then I remember kids from the ward coming and going all day long to share what they got for Christmas.

After Mark Orchard called to see what we had received for Christmas, we loved riding bikes up at the Smiths/Skaggs parking lot because it was completely empty. - Walt
Ralph and Mary Wilde were always Mary and Joseph in the Sunday Christmas program.
Haa haa! That's funny Karen because I always remember us getting up and looking to see if YOU guys were up! Ahhh, good times! One of my favorite memories is helping my mom (although I don't think I was that big of a help) make goodies to take to our neighbors on Christmas Eve, she would make the BEST ever cinnamon rolls, Umm I can still smell them, warm from the oven! She also made really good peanut Brittle and cheeseballs! Of which we have carried on that tradition in our family today, except we always have to go sooner than Christmas Eve, cuz now days no one is ever home then! Silly people! Ü
